An Invitation to Join the Postcard/Link Exchange of 2009

Last week, I received a card and letter in the mail from a friend in the UK. I was so delighted to receive something other than bills or junk mail by ’snail mail’ that I have signed up for the Postcard/Link Exchange of 2009, in anticipation of another ‘pleasant surprise’ in the mail.
Another reason for participating in the Postcard/Link Exchange is the opportunity to exchange links with another blog and perhaps gain more traffic in the process.
The Postcard/Link Exchange of 2009 is being organised by Lynne, whose blog is called ‘A Malaysian Abroad.’ She is visiting her homeland of Malaysia in February/March and would like to send postcards from Malaysia to all who would like to receive them. All she asks in return is that you blog about the postcard once you have received it and add a comment on her blog, letting her know that you have written about her postcard on your blog. Full details on how to participate can be found here.
While you are visiting Lynne’s blog, be sure to take some time to read some of her other interesting and informative posts on the differences between life in Malaysia, Switzerland and the USA. I particularly like her posts on the differences between sayings in the languages of the three countries. Did you know that, in Malaysia, you would not say ‘out of the frying pan into the fire’ but ‘escape from the tiger’s mouth into the crocodile’s mouth!’ I think that this is a much more colourful way of expressing the fact that something has got from bad to worse! You can read more about this here.
So, hop on over to A Malaysian Abroad and look out for the postcard in your mailbox!

Thanks for the great write-up!
This looks like to be a great idea. I will check it out why not? Thanks for the lovely tip.
Lynne - You’re welcome! Wishing you every success with the Postcard/Link Exchange.
Yanjiaren - You’re welcome, too! Hope that you enjoy participating.
