At Last! A Nappy I’m (Fairly) Happy With!

Sorbies Nappies Pack

I’ve written before about how I wish that I could buy Pampers nappies (diapers) in Australia and about my continuing quest for a good quality nappy. Well, I think I’ve found a nappy that is quite reliable and performs reasonably well!

Sorbies nappies were launched just before Christmas but I didn’t try them until a few weeks ago. I was a little bit sceptical when I bought the first pack as every other brand had not performed as well as I’d expected and, at A$18.99 for a pack of 36 nappies, they were more expensive than most other brands.

However, I was pleasantly surprised. The nappies are quite well made, so the tabs don’t break off when you pull them. They are also very absorbent. I’ve only had one leak in the first three packs of Sorbies that I have used.

I like the fact that there are both day and night nappies in the pack. The night nappies are more absorbent than the day nappies and, like Pampers, don’t usually leak even if they are full in the morning. However, I did have one nappy that had started to disintegrate after overnight use, but it was very full.

Sorbies Day and Night Nappies

There are 10 night nappies and 26 day nappies in one pack. The only drawback is that I tend to use the night nappies quicker than the day nappies, so I end up buying a new pack for some more night nappies. It would be better, perhaps, if the day and night nappies were sold in separate packs.

I will continue to buy Sorbies nappies - I think that the extra A$2 per pack compared with other brands is worth it for the better absorbency. Another good thing is that they are sold by Coles Online so I can add them to my online grocery order. This means that I don’t need to make a special trip to the supermarket to buy nappies.

Please note that this review is based on my personal experience of Sorbies nappies and that I have not been paid by Sorbies for this review.
