To all Readers of Life in Australia

Published by rozandrews at 9:28 pm under blogging Edit This

I have very much enjoyed being a part of the Entrecard community for the past couple of months. I have become a regular reader of many interesting blogs that I probably would not have otherwise discovered. As an added bonus, I have gained many regular readers of this blog from Entrecard.

It is with regret, then, that I will be removing the Entrecard widget from this blog once the advertisements that I have already approved have been shown - this will probably be in about a week’s time. The reason for this is that today.com has asked all of its bloggers to remove their Entrecards because Entrecard will soon be running third party advertisements, which are not allowed on the today.com network.

I can understand the reasons why today.com is no longer allowing Entrecard. I did hope that the two companies could reach a compromise but it appears that this has not been the case.

I also enjoy being part of the today.com community and am looking forward to seeing how things will develop on today.com, now that blog advertising and product revenue sharing are in place.

I will, however, remain part of the Entrecard network. My other blog, Crafts on a Budget, was accepted yesterday as an Entrecard blog. I will begin dropping this card today. At the top right hand side of the Crafts on a Budget blog, just below the Entrecard widget, I have placed a link to this blog. It is my hope that Entrecard droppers, who already read Life in Australia regularly, will be able to easily click through and continue to read this blog.

As I want to continue to read many blogs that will no longer be in the Entrecard system, I will be updating my blogroll, making it into a comprehensive list of all of the blogs I visit regularly. I hope that those of you who will also be leaving Entrecard will consider adding Life in Australia to your blogrolls.

With all of these changes, there is bound to be a couple of blogs that accidentally slip through the net. If you find in a few weeks time that I am no longer visiting your blog, please let me know, so that I can add you to my blogroll.

Last but definitely not least, I’d like to thank everyone who has visited my blog, whether through Entrecard or not. I hope that you will continue to visit and enjoy life in Australia with me!

Hi Marilynne - I would recommend joining Entrecard with one of your non-Today.com blogs. It’s a great way of finding new blogs to read and an easy way for people to visit your blog regularly too.

Hi Martin - Thanks for your continuing readership - it’s much appreciated. I will continue to read your blogs regularly too.

Hi Golden Prague - Thanks for the reminder. I’m looking forward to participating!

Hi Deborah - I definitely agree and you’re right that Entrecard is a much more convenient way of visiting blogs.

I’ll definitely continue to read your blog and Australian Women Online - you might just get to know me as Crafts on a Budget from now on!

    Thanks for the encouragement!
