I was honoured to receive the Let’s Be Friends Award from caregivingdaughter. I think that her blog is excellent and so do many of our fellow today.com bloggers, as she has recently received the ‘Blogger’s Choice’ award.

The criteria for the Let’s Be Friends Award are:

These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to those bloggers who must may choose at least 5 more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

I would like to pass this award onto (in alphabetical order):

  • Emm – Emm is a South African living in London. On her Emm in London blog, she writes about her life in the UK and includes many interesting photographs of places she has visited. Her Emm Media blog is also worth a visit for reviews of books, films, music and TV programmes.
  • Laneerg writes two blogs – The Single Frugalton and Storytime for Children. On the Single Frugalton, you will find lots of easy money saving tips that will help you hang onto more of your hard-earned cash, while the Storytime for Children blog will introduce you to many interesting children’s books and authors.
  • Marilynne – Marilynne blogs at Women over Fifty. Her blog posts, which are always fascinating, cover a wide range of subjects from her childhood to her adventures in Australia, from her children to her life in California.
  • Notes from the Frugal Trenches – This is not just another blog about saving money! Although there are some wonderful ideas that will help you save money, this blog is so much more than that – it is written by a girl who has taken some very courageous steps to change her life for the better.
  • Sher – Sher always looks at life from a positive perspective in both of her blogs – Czech off the Beaten Path, in which she writes about her life as an American living in the Czech Republic, and Life Over the Edge, where she provides inspiration for others living with a chronic illness.

I am aware that I have given awards to some of these bloggers before, but I wanted to pass this award onto those that I feel ‘aim to find and be friends.’ I know many other bloggers that also fit into this category, so please don’t be upset if you haven’t received an award this time.

Hi laneerg - You’re very welcome!

Hi Marilynne - You’re very welcome and thanks for being a friend to me too! I always look forward to reading your blog.

Hi Sher - Yes, it’s fun to comment backwards and forwards (if that’s the right way to put it!) and I always look forward to reading your posts. Don’t worry about passing on the award quickly - it took me a while to pass it on!

Hi Emm - You’re welcome and no offence taken - I know that you have been away in South Africa. Actually, I quite like ‘Ro’ - perhaps it should be my new nickname!!
