I moved to Sydney, Australia from the UK in November 2007 with my husband and daughter. Our son was born in Sydney three months later.
Record numbers of British people have moved to Australia in recent years in search of better job opportunities, better weather, and ultimately a better life.
The aim of this blog is to give snapshots of our life here, as well as some information on what it is truly like to settle in Australia, as well as details about some of the challenges we have faced.
Before I moved to Australia, I looked for information about life here from the point of view of a British person and I was disappointed to find so little information on this subject. We have had to find out about many different aspects of life here through research, research and more research, so my hope is that this blog may help someone who is contemplating a move to Australia.
