A Place to Buy Pampers in Australia?

Pampers Nappies

If you read my blog regularly, you will know about my continuing quest for good quality nappies (diapers) like Pampers on sale in Australia.

The other day, while surfing the Internet, I came across a way to buy Pampers nappies or diapers in Australia. You can buy Pampers nappies online from the British Online Supermarket. Pampers nappies are on sale there in different nappy sizes and packet sizes. They cost about the same as in a UK supermarket.

The expensive part will be the postage and packing. The amount charged is based on the total weight of the package (in half-kilogram increments), so the postage cost to Australia is likely to be expensive. However, if you live in Europe, it might be more cost-effective as there is a flat rate for postage up to 30 kilograms.

I also wonder if nappies being sent to Australia would be confiscated by the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service. Although they don’t look as if they are on the list of items that cannot be sent by mail to Australia, it might be a good idea to check with the Quarantine and Inspection Service before you order Pampers nappies from Australia.

I would love to be able to order Pampers nappies from the UK, because, although I am reasonably happy with Sorbies nappies, they still leak sometimes and are just not as reliable as Pampers. However, I can’t justify the extra cost of having Pampers sent from the UK at the moment.

I know, however, that there are many expatriates in Australia who would be interesting in buying Pampers from abroad. So, I was interested to find out about this way of ordering Pampers.

As well as Pampers, the British Online Supermarket sells lots of goodies that those of us living abroad miss, including Marmite, Horlicks, and Walkers crisps. Unfortunately, many of those food items wouldn’t be allowed into Australia because of the strict quarantine regulations.

Please note that this is not an advertisement for the British Online Supermarket and that I have no personal experience of ordering from the British Online Supermarket. If you have used their services, please let me know by leaving a comment, especially if you live in Australia.
